We are looking for a user-experience (UX) & design lead able to understand our business requirements and any technical limitations, as well as be responsible for conceiving and conducting user research, interviews and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes. The UX designer will also be expected to design and improve the overall functionality of the product, and in order to ensure a great user experience.
The candidate must be an independent, self-motivated creative professional, capable of adapting quickly to a fast-paced environment. This is an active hands-on role that will require a designer who can solve complex visual and interaction design challenges. The candidate must also have an extremely developed sense of design and impeccable attention to detail.
The Candidate will lead the design and experience unit, will work closely with the product and strategy teams. The Candidate is expected to have an evolved understanding of how people use their devices, the flexibility to adapt to new technologies, and a robust toolkit.
Develop design strategy and quarterly roadmap on design revamps for all products.
Develop design system and brand guidelines for passenger and driver journeys.
Ensure that UX research is extensively conducted by shadowing passengers and drivers, focus group discussions, affinity mapping, competition benchmarking and identifying pain points throughout the journeys.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, to ensure that the design meets the needs of the business and the users and prioritize design roadmap tasks according to product priorities.
Lead the team of product designers; coach and mentor them, set goals and priorities, and provide feedback on their performance.
Deliver and review design deliverables, including wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and visual designs.
Ensure that the design meets usability, accessibility, and user experience standards.
Five or more years of UX design experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience designing complex solutions for complete digital environments.
Strong ability to recognize and predict use-cases and user interaction, including happy path, edge and corner cases, and incorporate them into designs.
Excellent understanding of user-experience design for mobile and the web, technology trends, demonstrable design skills, and ability to show relevant work.
A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, design language patterns, usability and accessibility concerns.
Deep understanding of Apple’s human interface design guidelines, Android design and other mobile platform designs, including Google’s material design.
Skilled with UI/UX design and prototyping tools such as Figma, InVision, Adobe XD, Sketch, etc.
A bachelor’s or higher degree in Digital Design, Interaction Design, Software Product Design, Human-computer interaction (HCI), Cognitive Science, or related field.
